Lady V: Queries concerning the male gender continued

Dear Lady V (continued from last week’s column),

Since you shared some of your confusions about the opposite sex, let me share some of mine.

Complaining about guys: Why must you always do this? I swear we can’t seem to get anything right. No matter how many times we rub your shoulders, how many times we change the oil in your car or no matter how many times we listen to you bitch about work or school, you are never satisfied. We sacrifice so much! I think we deserve a little appreciation.

Holding grudges: It’s amazing how you girls can absolutely love someone one minute and desperately hate them the next. I’ve see girls’ best friends turn into worst enemies in a matter of minutes. And when you are pissed at someone, you stay that way for a long time. Guys are far more rational. We get mad, we get even and then it’s done. When girls get stabbed in the back, they feel they need to stab back 50 more times. And they call us the immature sex.

Shopping: I don’t understand the need to spend all day walking on concrete floors and wasting as much money as possible. I once had a girl tell me that she bought a $50 pair of shoes that she never plans on wearing. She simply liked the way they looked. I am simply out of words.

Self-image: It frustrates me how women hate the way they look. They feel their hair is never good enough, their butts aren’t cute enough, worried what they are wearing makes them look ugly. And don’t even get me started on the make-up thing. Some of you girls act like your skin is discolored or something and you’re trying to hide every inch of it behind blush and eyeliner. I don’t want to come across as some wimpy, sensitive guy, but you girls are gorgeous! Quit trying to change the way you look. There’s nothing sexier than a girl that just woke up, hair in a mess and wearing a ratty old t-shirt.

Now I’m not advising you to just give up and let yourself go but give yourselves a break. We aren’t expecting Jessica Alba to be waltzing into our lives anytime soon (although that would be awesome). We like you just the way you are. I mean, look at us. We are ugly as sin but somehow get lucky once in a while.

P.S.-This was not meant to offend anyone. It was written all in good fun.
